Rohto Eyedrop Review

Hm! So, I've been hearing a lot about these "Rohto" japanese eye drops. My roommate had a free sample of the green "cool" version. I had to test them!

I must say... these drops are AMAZING. I was feeling very sleepy. My eyes felt drowsy and heavy from studying. These drops wake them up right away! You have got to get these drops, especially if you're a student!

Yes, it did tingle a lot when I put them in. You know that feeling you get when you chew spearmint gum? Imagine your eyes are chewing their own version of freshening gum. That's what it feels like. Yes, it burns, but its not painful. Again, imagine the gum thing. Sometimes when you first bite the gum, the mint feeling is INTENSE and then after a few moments, it dies down. This is the same thing. Its spearmint gum for your eyeballs.

Really wakes you up and keeps your eyes from feeling like crap for a nice while. You can use it UP to 4 times a day.

Ahem... so consider me "on the bandwagon". ;)

Inconsistent

I know I'm not really that popular so me being inconsistent isn't that big of a deal, but I need to start BEING consistent with the things I care about and I do care about this!

In the near future expect updates such as:
MICHELLE PHAN IS WRONG
Skin lightening
Omega-6 oils
Breast enhancement
Bento Boxes
Caramel Treatment / Diva Smooth
Detangling Relaxed Hair.

And, BTW, I got a relaxer using JUST4ME "Texture Softner". The stylist did NOT put the sunflower oil in there. She actually threw it away which made me a bit disgruntled. Some parts of my hair relaxed and others didn't relax enough (which is totally find by me). But I also have to mention that I used DIVA SMOOTH which is a "CARAMEL TREATMENT" (google it) the day before I put in the relaxer. YES, that's right! I washed my hair THE DAY BEFORE I put the relaxer and I did not experience ANY problems (This relaxer must be very mild!). I also put HONEY on my edges and it protected them quite well!

Raw Food Diet?

I hear RAVING reviews about the raw food diet! Check out all these happy people!

It seems like the first 2 weeks are rough, but once you get past it... your life might be changed completely. I MIGHT do this one day. But now, I am really convinced that most of your diet should be vegetables.

Of course, there are people who are AGAINST the raw food diet, but I see way too many energetic happy people to not wonder that there is something to this.

Protein Treatment Research & Relaxed Hair

I did some research on protein treatments. Check out my video and the links below!

1mits1's youtube protein video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3yhbfae_9s
TheNaturalHaven detailed research: http://thenaturalhaven.blogspot.com/2009/06/protein-conditioners-for-hair-part-2-of_03.html

WHEAT PROTEIN
These are too large to be useful.
ANIMAL PROTEIN
These are also too large. However, they can coat the hair to make it feel silky.
VEGETABLE PROTEIN When hydrolyzed, this is the ideal protein to use!

TIPS
Coating the hair is great when you get a relaxer. It will help prevent overlap and I, personally, find my relaxer comes out softer, silkier and smoother!

Right after I wash out the relaxer, I apply a YOGURT mix. I haven't done much research on how yogurt works with the hair, but I get a lovely thickness with this technique. Afterwards, I PH balance the hair.

Soon to Come

Its 3 am right now, so I won't upload them today, but I made 2 new youtube videos! I'm excited because I haven't done anything artistic in FOREVER. I'm glad its winter break. It will give me time to just start being more prolific with my interests.

So I made a video about how I usually do my facials and I did a video about protein treatments. A lot of information is out there about PROTEIN so I'll make a blog update about that.

And FYI, I texlaxed my hair. Oh. My. GOODNESS! my hair is actually very thick. I thought I could never have relaxed thick hair. I think in the past, they over processed my hair and they cut my hair with their harsh braiding techniques. For the past 6 months, I have been using very mild texturizers in hopes that I will cut off damaged hair, stop breakage, and kind of start over. Finally relaxed/texlaxed and I am pleased with the results except that I notice more breakage now (hence the protein treatment). But I feel all these very large, thick chunks of SHORT hair. Especially in the MIDDLE and the NAPE. I can't wait for them to grow. :)

The reason I got 'laxed was because my mother begged me. She told me to give relaxer 6 months. So here goes a brand new hair journey.

Keeping Hair Moisturized

I want to call my current hair stage... Doka's Hair version 3.0 lol. So, I'm going kind of start blogging about that. It is version 3.0 because version 1 was just doing what my mom wanted. Version 2 was experimenting. Version 3 is more like "Okay, now I know what to do and I'll do procedures I need to get what I want." Maybe Version 4 will be natural hair, but we'll see.

Here's the video that I am modeling my MOISTURE ROUTINE over.

It works! When I use a moisturizing product on its own, I'm not satisified, but doing it this way in this order seems to work pretty well.

Water Based Moisturizer
This is Juices and Berries by Oyinhandmade. I've heard amazing reviews for this and I want to use it. In the mean time, I am finishing my Aphogee Vitamin whatever spray.
rOil Based Moisturizer
This is an oil moisturizer by Essentious. It smells great and it is essentially just coconut oil. I like the pump bottle, so I'll probably re-fill it with oils or melted butters.
Cream Moisturizer
I want to use this Silky Souffle by Natural Lyfe. There are oils inside of this cream, so I wouldn't need to use much.

AC-11 DNA Repair?

So, if you know me, you know I am obsessed with Michelle Phan. She's introduced me to something called AC-11 which apparently repairs DNA damage.

AC-11 is referred to as Uncaria tomentosa or Cat's Claw.

The outer bark contains the great DNA & cellular health activator. Anything that has to do with cellular and DNA health means it is an "anti-aging" tool.

I'm not sure what kind of damage comes to the DNA other than mutations, but cellular health is important to keep your bodily functions going very well. So you don't have to say "my body just ain't how it used to be..."

Apprently, this is kind of a new discovery (at least for us in the USA... who knows how long South Americans have been using this), but reading about it has re-ignited my interest in the cosmetic industry & cellular & genetic care.
